After participating in Purity of The Throne complexes, I found that rattings anomalies on High-Sec are doable and enjoyable for alpha clone pilots. Here is what I found based on our EISy doctrine:
- Effective: Alpha clone pilots can be effective completing high sec combat anomalies in a solo cruise. Some sites can be cleared effectively by frigates or destroyers. Feel free to abandon the site, if you feel you cannot finish it comfortable. There are plenty of them in the neighbouring system or region.
- Improve: Try to reach mastery certificate level 2 or 3 on your choice of racial cruiser or Gnosis battlecruiser. Then fit it with weapons and drones that can hit 30 km from you warp in.
- Sustain:
- If you are looking for semi-afk ratting. Load drones and passive shield tank. I load a lazer to manage aggro away from my drones. Of course, you still need to occasionally hide your drones if they are attacked.
- There is unwritten rule that you should abandon sites that has been claimed by other pilot. This is to keep respect between pilots. I found this the hard way and apologized.
- If you are ratting for a long time, take longer roaming route. So, locals still have chance to enjoy the content as well. I use dotlan map to plan my roaming route.
- This is rare, but there might be some pilots who come and salvage wrecks in those sites. You might consider to abandon all your wreaks that you don't loot, to allow them to loot the content as well as courtesy.
